MedAptus Webinar: "Driving Compliance Through Automated Infusion Charge Capture"

Coding for infusion services, particularly in oncology settings, is complex. Realities such as strict and changing regulatory guidelines, as well as the involvement of multiple caregivers, mean that mis-coded or lost encounter can result in significant revenue loss or worse yet, an audit. These challenges are what led MedAptus, in conjunction with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, to develop its Infusion Services Edition (ISE). With ISE, nurses simply select services delivered including chemo infusions (short and long), med infusions, and hydration, and the software automatically translates that information into compliant codes, mapped to the organizational chargemaster.
We invite any infusion operations, finance and/or nursing staff to participate in a brief webinar to learn more about ISE. Hosted by MedAptus’ Chief Medical Officer, David Delaney, MD, with participation from national infusion and injection billing expert Jugna Shah, MPH and MedAptus’ ISE Product Management, this 45 minute event will utilize real-life infusion coding scenarios and a system demonstration to illustrate how the technology ensures compliant charge capture.
If you have any specific infusion coding scenarios that you would like to see demonstrated during the event, contact us at ise-info@medaptus.com and indicate the route of administration, whether the drug is chemo or non-chemo, and start/stop times. Scenarios will be accepted until December 1.

INS Fall National Academy of Infusion Therapy
November 14 - 16, 2008 - St. Louis, Missouri
This annual event brings together 500 infusion professionals from around the country. The educational sessions are designed for nurses to earn all of their required CRNI® recertification units and continuing nursing education units in one short weekend. The vast majority of National Academy attendees are also nationally certified infusion nurses who are the heads of infusion teams, administrators or business owners. MedAptus is excited to exhibit at the INS and will be providing demonstrations of our Infusion Services Edition.

Maryland MGMA State Conference & Technology Expo
December 5, 2008 - Baltimore
The Maryland MGMA State Conference & Technology Expo is where individuals in medical practice management can access over 10 sessions of educational and technology-related information. More than 150 medical practice individuals attended last year's conference and rated it as "the best ever." This conference attracts Level II and III members along with IT staff. The program includes educational tracks, IT specific sessions, product demonstrations and an exhibition. MedAptus will be providing demonstrations of our Intelligent Charge Capture at this event.
