Breate New Life into Your Revenue Cycle

Facility Edition

Eliminate manual paper processes that drive revenue losses and administrative overhead for nurses in outpatient clinics.

  • Components
Facility Edition was created for hospital-based outpatient clinics eager to eliminate paper, manual coding and charge reconciliation, and laborious charge data master maintenance processes from daily workflow.

The Facility Edition was developed in response to a clear market need for automation. Similar needs in the late 1990s, on the professional side, led MedAptus to respond with point-of-care charge capture for physicians. High adoption rates and demonstrated financial returns prompted hospital customers to inquire about MedAptus developing a similar solution capable of addressing business problems related to:

  • Increasing outpatient volume with stagnating reimbursement rates
  • Lack of national E&M coding standards
  • Compliance challenges between the professional and technical portions of patient encounters
  • High cost medications and materials that can be easily overlooked in the team care environment

A key feature of MedAptus’ Facility Edition is its ability to propagate charge data master (CDM) changes – updates and deletions – to the point-of-care. Without automation in place to manage these tasks, many hospitals are left with hundreds of individual encounter form templates needing tight management around version control and distribution. Out-of-date forms can lead to steep revenue losses when high-cost items are utilized and mis-billed.

Refresh everyday processes and improve bottom line results.
  • A streamlined workflow reduces days in A/R
  • Eliminates paper encounter forms and the costs to print, collect, transport and store
  • Improves nurse and clinician job satisfaction due to reduced administrative burden. Read a News Item.
What People Are Saying

Facility Edition is comprised of:
  • Point-of-Care Charge Capture (Facility) Back-office data entry of charges is time-consuming and error prone. Thirty-seconds at the point-of-care can mean the difference between a denial and maximum reimbursement.
  • Reconciliation, Coding & Administrative (RCA) Engine (Facility) Free your coding and administrative staff from data entry, coding manuals and time wasted hunting down missing encounter forms. Usage of our RCA Engine means at 5:00, you’ll know where your charges are – ready for billing.
